FC Barcelona to Host Historic Match at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in the Spanish league over two years after they moved out so building work could begin.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans can be present as per the current authorization. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.

Recent Activities

Barça organized a public practice inside the stadium earlier this month. Officials stated approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body to play their next home Champions League game facing Eintracht on 9 December in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
