A American-Palestinian teenager having endured 270 days in Israel's custody without charge has been freed.

Mohammed Ibrahim was 15 when he was arrested this past winter throughout the West Bank territory, while he was vacationing while residing in Florida under suspicion of rock throwing against settlement residents, which he previously denied.

The US state department said it welcomed the news of Mohammed's release.

Now sixteen years old, required hospitalization upon gaining freedom, relatives told the media.

Family described him as pale, underweight, and is suffering from conditions contracted in captivity.

Through an official statement, the youth's uncle spoke of the family's "overwhelming sense of relief".

Zeyad Kadur said the family had been "enduring a dreadful, continuous nightmare" during the entire detention period.

"At this moment, we are focused on providing Mohammed with the immediate medical attention he requires after experiencing Israel's abuse and brutal treatment throughout his detention."

The state department announced ongoing to extend consular services to the teenager's relatives.

{"The Trump Administration has no higher priority than the safety and security of American nationals"," the department emphasized.

A group of American legislators had signed a letter to diplomatic officials and the White House, requesting additional efforts to secure his release.

The father, with four children who runs an ice cream business from Florida, had earlier stated his child admitted guilt about rock throwing due to physical abuse.

The father hadn't visited or spoken to Mohammed since February, learning information solely regarding the treatment via legal paperwork.

Mohammed was held absent formal charges within Ofer penitentiary in the West Bank.

The facility also contains grown detainees, some of whom have been convicted regarding severe security violations including killings.

There are around several hundred young Palestinian detainees being held in Israeli jails, based on prison authority data.

Several lack formal charges while advocacy organizations, and international organizations, report instances of physical abuse and torture.

After the teenager's freedom, Mr Kadur said relatives would persist in advocating seeking justice for their relative family member Sayfollah.

This young American-Palestinian who the Palestinian health ministry said died from beating by radical settlers following tensions during summer.

Initially, military authorities reported officials were investigating information regarding a civilian had been killed.

The two cousins were employed together at their family's ice cream business from Tampa.

No indictments occurred regarding Sayfollah's death.

"We expect United States leadership to ensure our family's safety," family representatives emphasized.
